1950s: Olmar establishes its presence in the market
Operating on the market since the late 1950s, Olmar has achieved significant accomplishments through technological innovation applied to heating and cooking appliances. Since the launch of its first bestseller product – a kerosene heater – the Lombard company has become a leading player in the gas heaters segment of the Italian market, expanding its production to include cooktops and built-in ovens. Further innovation is introduced in the 1980s with the development of glass-ceramic gas cooktops. This highly innovative project ensures Olmar a key role among the Europe’s leading brands.
2021: The Transition to Radiant Panels
Olmar introduces and patents a new radiant panel technology featuring one single element that includes three functions: purification, sanitization, and heating. Far Infrared Rays (FIR) radiate heating the environment as solid bodies directly absorb the radiation generating a diffused warm sensation, without combustion, fumes, or dust emission. Furthermore, panels mounted on Olmar appliances have zero environmental impact and guarantee great versatility in every indoor space as they can be easily installed using a simple power outlet and no flue pipe.
2022: Environmental sustainability e energy efficiency
Olmar has always – and today more than ever – been committed to research and development of new climate tech systems based on eco-compatible energy sources with environmental zero impact able to guarantee energy efficiency to the end-user and to the society. In 2021 Olmar appointed Giulio Cappellini Art Director
Giulio Cappellini, architect and Made in Italy design ambassador worldwide, joined Olram in March 2021 as Art Director with an important restyling and development project of new products.
Animated by the distinctive curiosity of those who always seek to reinvent themselves, through his designs Cappellini has always offered a new personal perspective on contemporary design. He collaborates with young designers from all over the world creating furniture collections featured in the most important international art and design museums.

Maximum Energy Saving with Inverter Heater Technology
The Inverter Heater patented technology, implemented in Olmar products allows for the consumption optimization and drastic reduction of energy required for thermal well-being. Power modulation can lead to a reduce energy consumption up to 40%.
GREEN ATTITUDE
According to Olmar, biogenic heating based on FIR, has all the credentials to become the future of heating: relying only on electricity, it does not require the use of finite resources, nor pollute and it relies on clean energy. Moreover, only highly recyclable materials, as glass and silver are employed for the assembly of biogenic technology panels.
